I was in a tourney today, and I have read all the new rules about outing players before tourneys. Well, there were a couple that snuck in last minute, and that was absolutely fine with me. However, AFTER the TD started the tourney one of the regular players decided to be "away".........I had to wait the 10 min MIA time and I'm seething about it. If you people sign up for a tourney lets at least have the decency to out yourself or have the TD out you before start time so the REST of us don't have to wait on you. that isn't fair. I don't care if you are "involved at work" or "have a customer" or whatever.......SOME of us are here to play. I happen to have obligations that could distract me too, but I try not to let that get in the way so OTHER players can have a good time. Thank you for being considerate. I totally understand about schedules and conflicts, etc, but you aren't the only player in a tourney when you sign up. Please remember that.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
