I had a newbie here at GC ask me about team play, which was provided at The Zone.....they really enjoyed it. I was wondering if anyone else is interested in such a thing, and Webbie if its possible to work on that here at Game Colony? I know we have added 5 card play and manual scoring on request of our players, and this seems to be pretty important to this player... ...thoughts anyone?

thoughts? Yes, seems to me that Webbie has answered this before and team play is so easy to "manipulate" that it's not going to happen at G/C. I.E. I have dsl, a home phone and a cell phone, couldn't I call my team-mate as we are playing and tell each other our cards? JMO

It is too bad that partners and/or teams is impossible for us here. Loads of fun but also loads of opportunity for unfair tactics. Best that everyone plays solo.  Christy if you think about it I know you will agree.

So why can't you play a solo game with say 5 players per team and all play at the same time just as you do in a tourney room. Then the team with 3 or more wins, wins the match. You could start up a league. If you turn up with a player short, that paticular game is forfeit so the team that has 5 players are already one up. I think phoning between players is rife in doubles play, but team play could work. Just a thought

You're right about fair play - I'm sure they will appreciate the efforts we make to avoid any unfair tactics at Game Colony Just told them I would ask...........question answered, thanks!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
