would it be possible to arrange a tournament / league where we have teams , for example USA v REST OF WORLD or even just mixed . im sure with all the regulars that play here we could get 10 or so definate names to play , we just need to agree on a time where all can make it.i know its difficult with all the different time zones but
what do people think and could this be possible
your thoughts please people

i like the teambuilding possibility , from that piont of view is anything possible
ex "teamladder"
"team v team"
ect.

To answer your question: There will probably not be any team events here at GameColony.
So, what I have come up with, is a Special tourney called: COLONY CUP................
with a higher tix price for tourney play..
This could be a weekly tourney and the WINNER would get more tix and bragging rights for the week....This would be open to any player each week too, therefore hoping to get/grow more interest and players..
Just one thought on the idea, pool shooters...
FYI: We have been informed that there will be no team play at GameColony, mainly because of the possibility of cheating...as many card playing games have asked this same question also....BUT, I have yet to figure out how one can cheat by using a cue stick over the telephone, messenger service, etc...
So it's up to the powers at be.....BUT HE'S ALSO WORKING ON GETTING SNOOKER,.....so team play will most likely be OUT.
We/I try to give the players what they want, within reason, so patience my friends, patience..
So keep those requests coming, who knows, what might come of them.....

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
