I can't understand why there a so few people playing on GC - I think it's a great game site but out of the whole world there are maybe 20 people wanting to play each game sometimes - maybe its because people here now can be quite unfriendly it certainly used to be more fun. I don't want to chat all the time because that puts me off but a few friendly comments would be nice.

I don't know where everyone is from but I say hi to start every game and most of the time there is a nice response but close to half the time there is none. Is this a culture thing or is it something else. We were taught to reply when addressed so I expect the same and maybe others haven't been brought up this way.
Second point. How aobout all the tix players consider joinging some tournamnets so great tournout get better prizes without spending high entry fees? Comments welcome.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
