Wow with all the new (blood)cribbers  It seems there is a stronger and much needed change. Yes for the good. We all seem to be connecting again. I personnaly enjoy the many different thoughts and ideas of all my fellow cribbers. We don't always agree, Dooh!; but from what I've seen, we've always been there to help and support each other, the best we could.
So welcome to all the new fellow cribbers and thank you to my dear old fellow cribbers (friends too!)

You sound like a Vampire eagerly welcoming all this "NEW BLOOD" ARRGH !
I too have missed you and reciprocate your greetings (separate posting)
I have not been able to spend so much time recently but have kept a watchful eye on you from time to time.
I agree it is good for Cribbage that many new members are with us and that you have welcomed them in your usual oh so friendly fashion.
I will catch up with you soon my lovely friend.

Not only do I plug game colony when I play live with fellow cribbers but I saw a full page ad for game colony on the 2nd page of Cribbageworld, the American Cribbage Congress magazine. More outstanding players like Moojus and bound to be joining us for the convenience of playing at home or laptop because not enough live tournaments can be attended. Personally I can only make 3 live tourneys a year and need to get my cribbage "fix" a lot more often than that as many of you have seen. I am confident that many other great players from the ACC are going to see this ad and have a similar response. Game colony is making the right moves to get their site recognized and they will see the benefits when the number of members continues to grow.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
