WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON IN THE POOL HALL????
Posted by KillerRack (VIP) 9 Jul 2006 4:16pm

Hey fellow players, can you answer this one for me??? What is up with all the fighting, name calling and harassing going on in pool lately? I thought this was supposed to be a fun time to be had but, lately, it's getting ridiculous. Verbal wars in the hall, people being harassed without provocation and the arrogant attitude of some of the players; the old "I'm the best player here" garbage. Can we please stop this nonsense? If I were a new player looking for a place to shoot pool, all these things would make me reconsider playing here. I thought this was a place we could come, shoot some pool and make a few friends.

We ALL need to lighten up, myself included. Let's remember: IT'S ONLY A GAME!!!

Can I have your thoughts on this??

Amen on the lighten up ;

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
