Would there be any difficulty in creating a doubles game type ? Maybe throw in another ladder dedicated to the purpose ? Doubles tourneys would be great fun and just think of all them $$$$$'s up for grabs.
I think this would open up the game a little further, especially for the regulars that are here day in, day out.
I'm just wondering what other people think of this idea ?

Someone mentioned that to me the other day and I thought that's a great idea !!! GC is definately leading the way in the pool department I've found other online pool games that are a bit poor, all slow and the physics are all wrong. While we're on the subject of new game types, how about this? What about an arcade style trick shot game ? where you have to complete more trick shots than the opposition. This would be good fun not to mention good practice. I'd like it if it was an option for the main hall, but I'd still have a bash at it if it was similar to the pool rush game.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
