I noticed that all one canasta tourneys have been changed to two canasta or cancelled, as was the one scheduled for 9AM today. Are we not going to have one canasta tourneys in the future?

I have and will continue to occasionally host 1 canasta tourneys, at this time they do not seem as popular so they will not im sure be a regular as the 2 canasta tourneys, unless i see a change or get requests for them... that is what im thinking i would love to hear what you want =)

I used to play two canastas all of the time; however, the one canasta games are faster especially if they are played for about 3500 points. I would like to see more one canasta tourneys. BlueSun

The site I played on before coming to GameColony played all 5000 pt 2-2-2 with red three freeze and wild card canasta allowed..AND played 2/3 games for the ladder. At the time it was all I played and I enjoyed it, but GameColony is my home now and I enjoy the diversity offered here. I have to admit I hated the one canasta at first, but now I enjoy it as an alternate. I agree with BlueSun and would like to have one canasta tourneys along with the two canastas.

Great...

Thank u for your input.

I will continue to host one and two canasta tourneys when I am available. Tournout will dictate how often so please pass the word and see if we can get more participation. It would be great to have around 8 in tourneys so there is great diversity of players to meet and higher prizes to be won. Also makes for a great dynamic ever changing ladder.
Hope to see u all soon.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
