It rattles my cage when people display gg before the game is finished, quite often when youre facing a difficult black(9-ball).It may be just me,but the intention is their to put you off.please stop it

This makes my blood boil !!! There is only one reason for it. This is a tool of distraction and it is used to add pressure to your final shot. The decent thing is to wait for the ball to drop and then hit the enter button. It doesn't affect me much anymore though, I just wish people would have more respect for their opponents. Remember !!! It ain't over until the fat lady sings !!!
spot on!

I am one of the WORST at it. I certainly don't do it to distract my opponent. Also, I only do it on an almost guaranteed to win shot. Thanks for the heads up on how much it bothers other players. Time to think about what I'm doing sometimes. Always and Respectfully, The ever playing iamdragonlady

what difference does it make? You may have either lost the game or won. Quit payinng attention to what someone types and play your game.

there has been so much debate over this gg thing, I quit saying anything. IMO it's ruder to say nothing than to type gg, when I came to this site in 2001 it was a common practise to type gg, wheather you won or lost. Now no matter what you type or if you type nothing, someone gets offended. Harry S. Truman (from my home state) had it right....."can please some of the people most of the time, but can't please all of the people all of the time".....that may have been taken a little out of context, but you know what I mean

The 8 or 9 shot is a stress shot for the most of us. But i dont think it has any bearing on wheather i will make this shot or not. Another tactic other players have is to let the clock run out between every shot. SO between the two just give me the gg.************** Scottie

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
