As we all know, this CERTAINLY isn't my first post about this. What is going on in the pool hall?
People are using cheap tactics to disrupt games, using abort to their advantage, whining when they lose a match, name calling, etc., etc., etc.
I know myself, I have stormed off a table and out of the hall when I'm having a bad day.
But all this tit for tat stuff really needs to stop. We are (or should be) adults!!! If people are this nasty on line, what on earth are they like in real life???
I would LOVE to come into the hall someday and not have to be subject to someone else's "knock down....drag me out" verbal war over a GAME!!!!
If you can't take losing a game, THEN DON'T PLAY!!!
And if you can't play fair, think about whether or not you should even be playing!!
Enough said!

Nice One Sunny Gal .... Problem is, people forget that this is only a game and not a personality contest. Nor is it life or death who wins or loses. Keep it friendly people. By the way, Cheap tatics also include keeping another players opponent talking during a game, thus reducing concentration all round and text, as well as being very rude, does that register with anyone!!! Quit that and maybe the guilty party will get her peace. Try checkers gang, much more civilised. C ya sunny x

Maybe people should think twice before they post anything, that way they won't have to appologize!
If I need to apologize, then here it is!!!

I'm really sorry that I talk to people in here. If I come to the table, I usually talk direct to them. If my conversation or their responses bother ANYONE, I'm truly sorry.
But it is not ONLY conversations I am talking about. Read the WHOLE post. Its not meant for anyone in particular; just everyone in general.
You are right, Station, it IS only a game. Lets keep it that way.

I think I have to agree with cheerstou & sunshiner....... SOME people come into the game room to talk to their friends and have no consideration for the other player. They not only disrupt the game, but are rude in not speaking to the other player, on that table! Don't you people know it's not polite to whisper?!!?

Ladies Ladies this is getting out of hand. Like I said it is only a game but I do have to agree with sunny, cheerstou and now gatorplayer I get the same prob, if you wanna talk to your friends then just wait till they are free. SIMPLE. END OF STORY.
As for the tit for tat, maybe that will stop then too. The majority of players on site are good guys but there is always the odd one. Respect has to be earned.
..............
Sunny, never get to see u on site, english bedtime when im up and running, but cheers for what you did for May and me kid, in your debt. May said hi ..... c ya J x

WHY CAN'T EVERYONE JUST GET ALONG? I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THERE IS SO MUCH BOLOGNA IN THE MAIN HALL. WHY? LET ME ASK AGAIN! WHY? GAME COLONY WAS DESIGNED FOR WEB SURFERS TO STOP IN RELAX AND HAVE FUN! BOTTOM LINE IS THAT WE SHOULD BE FOCUSING ON HAVING A GOOD TIME! NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO BE WORRIED ABOUT SOMEONE BEING RUDE TO THEM OR HARASSING THEM. WORD TO THE WISE: REPORT THOSE WHO GIVE YOU A BAD TIME, USE 'CONTACT US'.
YOUR FRIEND,
MADoolin

Now, Marc, you KNOW this is not a perfect world, and if it were, everyone would get along!
People are going to be rude and obnoxious. They all cannot be like you and me! LOL

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
