Please note settings before joining tourney

Just wanted to remind all players, old and new, to make sure you want to play the tourney in which you are joining. On our tourney page everything is listed - how many tix, single/double elimination, etc. You are joining of your own free will, and it isn't really very nice to complete your tourney and then complain because the settings weren't to your liking. Settings don't change from the time you "sign up" to tourney time.......you get what you pay for, so to speak. So I am asking all of you to please read through the tourney settings before joining. And if you join one but then decide you don't want to play, simply ask TD to out you and I am sure they will be happy to oblige. Thanks so much, and have a great day! Ma
just to clarify....

When I mentioned asking your TD to "out" you after you sign up, this must be done BEFORE start of tournament when the brackets go up. Please don't wait until tourney has begun - then it is too late. thanks again, Ma

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
