Would be great if other tourneys directors followed Fun in setting tourneys to accommodate us aussie players, game colony time, 4pm Friday and Saturday. Might get more players to participate.

The tournament of champions tourney this month, which is Jan 13 for canasta, is set at 4p GC time........hope you are able to make it....as well as most to the tourney eligible players..

Didn't realize the difference as many Aussie players played in the 8am and 9am otnreys before. Must be Daylight saving time adjustment. However, it appears that 3,4 or 5pm tourneys on Fridays and saturdays will work for Aussie players for all TDs to see. I am sad to say my 4 pm firday tourney was cancelled when none came last friday. Hopefully that was just an oversight for all those that can come. I can't this week but maybe another TD can set at those times. Keep you eyes on the schedule and see if it can happen. GL

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
