why i only play one game

i am so tired of hearing that i have "poor sportsmanship" because i don't care to play a second game. Of course i never hear from the ones that BEAT me that first game, only the sore losers that want a chance to win back their tickets. So let this serve as fair warning to all who join my table or hit start when i join yours - my general rule is that i play one game only, then move on to another opponent. Why?
Superstitious, maybe - I figure if I won, then why push my luck.....if I lost then more than likely I'm having an off day or my opponent is just BETTER than me and I, like everyone else, don't have much fun losing all the time.
So there it is - simple, really, and no reason to try to make me feel bad...i don't. I am happy to go back to a player after cruising round for a bit, but I find it more unlucky than not to sit at a table for a long time, and less fun - i like to play a variety of players with a variety of rankings.....that has NOTHING to do with it. I play this game for fun, and win OR lose I generally play one game. If you don't like it, DONT PLAY ME! One player told me that as a threat today, that is FINE with me, no offense taken. But don't get on your pedestal and make ME look like the bad guy for only wanting one game. I don't see you acting like that in a tournament when you lose first round....get over yourself!
To the rest of you, I look forward to playing cribbage with you soon (one game only please)
Aaron

It's in the game setting

That would be cool if in the options where it always says 1 game if you could have the option for 2 wins in the game setting, a 2 of 3 series. I find that many players will agree to 2 of 3 if you mention it upfront. However, with a 1 game series NOBODY should be surprised if ONLY 1 game is played, and it is crazy to harass players for playing what they agreed to play and leaving. If anyone EVER wants to play me 2 of 3, 3 of 5, etc. for ANY amount of tix 25 or more just mention it when we meet. Sorry for your bad experience Aaron you won't catch that abuse if you play me.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
