Players that ignore others

I have to say that it is VERY RUDE to IGNORE other PLAYERS. It is not hard to tell someone that you do not care to chat. Everyone have feelings, and at times they can be hurt when you ignore them.

Food for thought!

Which is more rude Marc, to say you prefer not to talk, which could be taken the wrong way by your opponent, or to say nothing at all. Why people get offended over their opponent not chatting is beyond me, I thought we were here to play, and if a person does not feel like socialising then don't get offended, it's not meant as a personal insult you know

i agree with you mcdoolin but worst then that is when they say very hurtful n nasty things. i think i'd rather they did not speak in these cases. yes we come on to shoot pool but a kind hello or gg will not hurt anyone

ladder and chat

what i find rude and sometimes humorous, is when you wish to play a higher ranked ladder player, and you invite them but they totally ignore you. it would be nice to know why they wont play you at the very moment.

the only way up, is by the higher players.

the humorous part is, when you get higher than those players who didn't allow you to play them, constantly send invites and THEN they talk.

im just using personal experience lol but im sure its happened to others

custardnick, you are right. From the start of this game it has been this way, why? Well, I do not know! I wish I could change it. Keep in mind: You could always OFFICIALLY CHALLENGE a player that is higher on the LADDER than you, as long as you are within the top 20 on the LADDER.

You see Nick, it hard to say if someone doing it just for ignoring you. Look if there is 10 top players, in main hall same time, they will always first play the ladders from top 10, then others. I know it might sounds stupid but it is like that. And if you invite someone twice and he won't come you give up thinking "he's/she's ignoring me". Of course you will always find ppl they ignoring other players but I think all you should do is just asking "hi, did you play all ladders already and have a bit of time for playing me now? thank you". Am sure that 50% of ppl you asked this way will play you (at least from top 20 we got now).

And yes second way to get game quick is challenging player but personaly I don't do it and don't like it. But if someone keep ignoring you all the time, sure do it.

Greetings, Marg.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
