Kudos to you Archie for making and holding #1 for the month. Well done in my book.
So, let's talk ladder!! I've read the comments about people that beg for games when they are below you on the ladder and once they get ahead of you, avoid you like the plague.
I've witnesssed ladder manipulation by players and quite honestly it sickens me.
People, you are not winning a mortgage payment. These are bonus tickets that you win.
I agree that the challenge format should be changed to less days or playing an average number of games based on the prior week would be good too.
You players that run and hide wonder why people get mad at you. You manipulate the ladder by playing only those that won't affect your position. You promise people games and then run like a girl. And then you have the audacity to post in the forum 1. an apology and 2. a "read the rules" post. Quite amusing.
Let's keep this hall the FUN place it should be, play our games and stop worrying about whether or not someone is ahead of you on the ladder.
Again, Archie, kudos on #1 and having the hutzpah to be in the hall before the close of the month. This is true sportsmanship.
kudos???

don't no what kudos means but i think it was a compliment. so thank u for that, idear !! why not have a 1 ladder for 5 ladder wins in 5 mins, this would make people play quick games and make it more dynamic , i had a tactic of playing 1pnt 8ball this meant i lost a lot of the break , but sometimes i won from the break , game over quick and fair , leaving me plenty of time to play others , mabye the way forword for ladder is to make top games on 1 pnt it worked well for me and everyone got chance to play , answers on a post card please

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
