Does the computer generate the payouts for a certain tournament or does the TD? I recently heard about one that had 9 payers at $3Tix and the payouts were 4.5 tix for 1st and 2.5 tix for second. $27Tix and the winning pool was $7Tix?
can't happen

The tournament system generates the payout for tournaments and is always correct. The payout you noted in your post might have happened somewhere but it sure didn't happen in a GameColony tournament.

Hi jethro i know what happened......the tds set the tix amount for each tournament and in the tournament your talking about the td forgot to set it to 3 tix so it only cost 1 tix to enter. The td may advertise it as a 3 tix tournament but if it wasn't set that way then it will only be a 1 tix tournament. So please watch for both tix amount and single or double elimination, and if any players see an error plz let the td know right away so we can fix it.
Your friendly TD, DonL

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
