a few names spring to mind that are very good without the aid of virtual spin. earl, efran, fransisco, johnny, rodney, u should watch em their really good

I love to use the cue ball. In my opinion, there's no other way to play.
How in the world do you get position without using the cue ball??? Poke & Pray???

Spin is used by professional players on real tables to get position.Likewise for me on my table at home or at GC.My opinion, I find that spin is imperative.I'll admit that for me, without the use of spin could be quite challenging.So, I have to agree with BudBoy that the "poke and pray" method is not a good choice for me.

Of course! Without it, there would be no comparison to a real table game! The same goes for being able to control the speed of the cue ball.......silly man!

Are you really going to try and tell me that you think english is unnessary on a pool table? That's just silly!!! Without it you would be killing one of the fundamental 3 p's of table billiards. Power - Position and Paterns. If you don't use it you really should try to learn some basics, it's really amazing when you can place the Q-ball where you want it. It will also help cut down with counting on luck, not that you do but alot of people pretty much live off luck.

b4 i learned pool i learned biljards the basics off every cue game ,with out cue control u will lose ur games even if u can pot like the best

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
