Ive just finished playing a game where it was my crib & my opponent needed 1 to peg out & I needed 6 I was going to concede but a Jack may turn up & ill get 2 for doing it & ill need only 4 then.My hand dealt to me was a 10 5 5 6 2 A knowing cards were irrelevant & having no chance I threw in 10 5
Them the sequence which followed was 3 6 3 A 7 5 4 2 Which gave me 31 for 2.Shock horror etc I went round the corner scoring 9 If I hadnt seen it I wouldnt have beleived it I won im still stunned.So it goes to show its never over till the fat lady sings.Beleive me I would have only taken 2!!!!

The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
