IT'S NOT TRUE

Just wanted to drop a note to all the big dogs and wannabees ... there is a nasty rumor circulating that somebody has been impersonating me to take advantage of both the ladder and tourneys. There is no validity to that. The actual truth is we asked for more tourneys so we could have more fun! All the TDs are more than willing to accommodate us, which just proves how much GC cares about what we all want. I watch a great deal of games because watching is learning for me. Maybe, just maybe, it will be reflected in my playing. Sorry if we projected anything otherwise. Good and fair gaming to all!

Good word RC ... the pressures of formal challenges just make the game that much more exciting and many have used this tool with gr8 impact. So stop whining - use it or lose it!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
