I've only been a member for a short time now and I have to say that ive never been so pleased with the folks and the frienbdly feelings i've experienced (with the exception of the proverbial few "glass half empty" crowd you find EVERYWHERE) and can't believe i hadn't stumbled into this site sooner. Just be relieved that i am in one of the few Victorian era states that won't allow its citizens to play for "tickets" online or you might find yourselves a little lighter in the wallet! seriously, though, i am glad to have found out the true meaning of obssesive behavior...on line cribbage with good people.

I concur Jimbo. Its a truly wonderful experience. havent had the chance to play in cribbage tournaments before coming here, and am very happy. Partner is not so happy but thems the breaks as they say. Not worried by the 1/2 empty crowd, its a certain leading player that gets under my skin with his childish antics. Most people are a blessing. Thanks to all involved King Farouk

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
