I'd like to mention this program to all. The US Marines do it every Christmas season, and if you could donate just ONE unwrapped new toy it helps unfornutate children at least receive one new toy for Christmas. A few years back, here in Kansas City over $4000 of toys were stolen from this. One toy is all it takes to make a child happy, and in these times they need it. Doesn't have to cost much, $5 or so. For go the fast food lunch just once. They will really appreciate it. I know these families need food, shelter and such, but a little kids happiness goes a long way also.
how about a tourney 4 the tots??

Texasrose33, i like your cause!! I have made a challenge for the cause's behalf (read the forum), however I think we, all the cashed up players, can raise the donation a little. How about this site holds a few "pride" only tourneys, I would like to challenge ALL u blueys to a $10 tourney, where u get no prize (only bragging rights)if u win & all $10 entrance fees get donated to this cause. Or an even better idea, how about GC holds a weekend (on the 19th & 20th) of "bragging rights only" tourneys for the cause (have the usual spread of entrance fees for tourneys, to cater for all those who wish to contribute). It's short notice, but the cause is worth it, so lets unite & try to make a bit of a difference for those who cant afford to play cribbage tourneys to improve their ego, lol

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
