Hi all. I understand the frustration of having to wait for your opponent to move. I would like to ask that the tournaments stay at 1 min per move, not 30 sec. Yes, there is some players that have an advantage in winning because they are able to play fast and want to keep that advantage. Which is a gift from God we do not all have. I for one do not have that gift. I am 100% disabled from Viet Nam. It is not always within my mental and physical ability to play in less than 30 sec. Now I do admit as a rule I always play very fast. There is given hands that do take me more than 30 sec. So is that extra 10 sec it takes me to move all that important in the long run? Congress did pass the ADA [ American disability act ] Just so the disabled do not get less than equal treatment or opportunity. I am sure there is more than just one disabled player here.
1 sec 1/2 sec

HI, I understand there may be some times the half min rule won't work for some and that is not a problem. As seen in last nights tourney your opp was more than happy to allow you the 1 min move. Just ask for that option and it will be allowed. There is never a time that a rule is good for everyone but always an allowance to follow the ADA. Love having you in my tours and will always take care of a problem, ty for bringing it to my attention. Thank you for your service to our country and I support our veterans in many ways personally. Hugs, Spicii

Thank you all. 1 min is more than enough. I know what you mean about a player just sitting there for 5 min. There is no reason that justifies taking 5 min. Is there away we can record the frequency and player who causes that problem and ban them from tournaments and play all together?
Again Thank You

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
