SICK AND TIRED OF SELFISH PLAYERS

At the beginning of May I was number one for about a week or so. I played EVERY PLAYER who asked for a game EVERY TIME. Now I've not played as much and am lower in rank. Those SAME PLAYERS (and I could list them here) WON'T EVEN GIVE ME A GAME. When you are high in the ladder, you ought to welcome any and all players and give ALL PLAYERS an equal chance to climb the ladder. I am a champion canasta player (check top players in tournaments); however, I can't dedicate a lot of time to playing to stay in top ten. I ENJOY PLAYING CANASTA when I can. I am sick and tired of those players when they are ahead of me in ladder who WILL NOT play me. Yet, when I am AHEAD of them in ladder, those SAME PLAYERS HOUND ME TO DEATH for a game. Whatever ranking a player is in the ladder, he or she is NO CHAMPION if he or she is AFRAID to face any and all players. As for myself, I'm NOT AFRAID to face ANY PLAYER ANY TIME because I KNOW I'm a champion player, but more importantly I am a SPORTSMANLIKE AND COURTEOUS PLAYER. Too bad others ARE NOT.
Ladder or not, who cares... Ranking rules.

Hi Blue, thank you for posting your thoughts but really who cares about ladder, honestly man it comes down to ranking if you ask me. I love palying you as you are very competitive and a great sportsman even when losing and that is where it counts. Keep up the good work and hope to see your ranking improve soon. Bradley
It will always happen....!

Unfortunately, this has always been the case with some players and always will be. Let's just be encouraged that we're not all the same.I became disillusioned some time back, and stopped playing for many months, but I won't let it get to me so much again.
Looking forward to our next game!

Hi Blue Go ahead and challange the players that won't play. If they will not answer the challange they will lose ladder points. Wish a would just love the game for the game.

Running away from playing a good player is the facts of life here...GC has modified the rules many times to solve problems...but they still have trouble installing backbones...a few players here are good to thier word and will play all challenges (wether official or a simple request in main hall) All you can do is remember those players who play fair and those who don't, then chose how to respond to them the next time they ask for a game...Just keep in mind many come here to play the game of Canasta while others come to play the ladder, AND THEY ARE two seperate games...Meeeooowww

I have tried to play you many times you never play anyone not on the top 20 ladder I right now am 23 went to your table and you won't accept so you should maybe have said that you are one of those who don't play people not on the top 20.....

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
