I would like to wish all the Canasta "family" and that being of course our TD's as well... a very special Christmas.. filled with much Love, Laughter and special times shared. Also for all of us to have a great Christmas Cheer time together. In all the years i have played - ahh about 10 years.. This is the BEST family of players ever!!! It is such a special family we have here and now 100% fair playing and fun and respect and the BEST tourneys ever. 99% of the players are so lovely and real and good people. I have formed some very special friendships here and really enjoy the newer people joining us. Every stranger is a friend we have just not met yet ... There are some wonderful people who i am just getting to know and others i have known for a while and are family. You know who you are Sooo a very very Happy Christmas to the BEST Canasta family we have ever had. Hugs to all. Lynley

Sitting here, daughter asleep (she arrived last night after a 9 hour flight), tree indoors waiting to be decorated. Feeling mellow - Happy Christmas to you all.

Merry Christmas to all.... And, for Christian Believers.... let me share this story a co-worker told me yesterday.... He said his six year old daughter's teacher recently asked the class, "Why is Santa's suit red?" His daughter's reply was, "Because he's been washed in the blood of Jesus." For Christian believers, let's not forget the reason for the season. God Bless Each of You. And, I wish a safe and happy holiday season to EVERYONE here at Game Colony. BlueSun

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
