Hi all Alans friends. I thought it would be nice if you wanted, if you post here and i will copy and paste all messages on this post and send to Alans family to be kept with all the cards and other messages, as i know they are keeping it all in a special box. And i feel that his close friends here would like their personal messages with those.. I think that would be very special. Thank you to everyone I know Alan shared a lot of special time with people here. And he did often comment on how many friends he felt so close to and had helped him through. He felt very strongly about everyone here and yes Phil, I know he will be watching us all, laughing at our bad hands days, watching for those 4 red threes he loved His family asked me to pass on to you all as well that they knew that he made some special freindships here and they wanted to thank you all and for helping him through his bad times and for all the fun and companship and friendship that was given to him. It meant a lot to him and means a lot to them. Thank you everyone x x Lucky me, I inherited his cat and it makes me feel close to him. Thank you all so much I loved him very much and he meant a lot to me as well.

I had a lot of wonderful, challenging, frustrating games of Canasta with Alan over the many years that we played here on Game Colony together. It was and is great that we can reach across the world to play with people that we could only meet on the electronic highway. I know that someday I will see Alan again and will have more games to play with him.

Just want to say that Alan aka Phoenix was one of my first and best canasta friends and I thank him for bringing my game on from novice to somewhat better. We shared many a game over the years and many a chat. I've missed him since his absence and very much regret the end of this era.

When I first met Alan I was fortunate to meet someone that was caring, friendly and a great personality. We enjoyed chatting about gardens and butterflies. He was so nice to all, so caring and helped players to understand and learn the game of canasta. We have lost a dear friend but will see him in the gardens of heaven. Peace be with you my friend, hugs, Spicii

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
