Fantastic Finishes

Sometimes games can be won even though little hope remains. Here is a recent example: I was at 105 needing sixteen points, with first count. My opponent needed only 7 points. I was dealt 7-9-2-3-4-5 and kept the 2-3-4-5. My opponent was dealt K-10-7-6-A-A and kept 7-6-A-A. A queen was cut leaving me only 8 points. I led a 4, which my opponent followed correctly with the 7. I played the 5, enticing the run of 4 from my opponent, who played the 6. I then played the 3 for 4 points. My opponent was forced to play an A and I followed with the 2 for another 7 points. I easily counted out with my opponent stuck at 119. These don't happen often, but sometimes it pays not to resign too early. Maybe some of you have fantastic finishes to share as well.

2 of my fantastic finishes happend at the same tour and was amazed by them both where pure luck
1round game Im at 98 my opp is at 117 his crib, I was surprised to see I cut a 29 hand and won the game . same tour Round 2 , I'm at 97 and my opp is at 114 my 1st count and I got surprised with a 28 hand as said pure luck , but the finished I'm very proud of and this one was a little luck and a little skill was in a live crib tour. I was at 85 my opp was at 117 I was sure I was going to be skunk but my hand was 9 3 3 3 and a 9 was cut, knowing I needed points to jump the skunk line started with 9 hoping to get at least 6 points pegging with my 3s.so hand went this way
9 opp Q for 19 , my 3 opp answered with a 3 for 2 points for her and a 25 count my 2nd 3 for 6 points was a go so my last 3 for 31 count and 14 points .I had pegged 20 points. my hand count was 20 points , my opp was able to peg last card so she was stopped at 120 and I won the game. since that game I never quit till the last hand is count no matter what.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
