I may not be the nicest player or the most generous but I do bring " competitiveness " something this ladder needs dearly. I know were all a big GC family but people should " want " to win.

I don't disrespect people. I just like to win. Out of all people you should know what " winning " feels like. I love competition. Simple. I mean until you return to ladder play, this post really doesn't concern you.... #ImJustSayin

He respects people who want to win. Interesting though, his greeting is "Have Fun." I guess when you know you're going to lose, you might as well try to have fun while it happens? I gather being neither the best, nor the worst isn't all that bad and certainly carries less stress. And, as a sidenote, if you want this room to become more competitive, you have to stick around long enough to lure the competitors back. Otherwise, this room will remain a comfortable place to come to to unwind and njoy yourself. Hmmmmm actually doesn't sound all that bad!

no offense but i have been following the posts here for some time and to me it seems nothing more than a drama, i mean come on at the end its just a game that is meant to be enjoyed but alas!! most of the people get carried away and act like a 10 year old, win or lose its all part of the game

Drama ... thank goodness we can get some once in awhile. Have you noticed that people who are not competitive in their nature, label those who are as dramatics. I actually hang out at this site because I am competitive. So why does pool cause players emotions to run so high? It's called SKILL. Here in pool, you are either good, not, or getting better. SKILL, not luck presides in this room. Until you can change the dynamics of the game of billiards, get use to some drama. Those ole days players refer to when, yes, there were over 20 in the room at any given time, THRIVED on competition, nothing more, nothing less. I for one, welcome it back anyday.

well seems like some people have taken this game way to seriously lol ,i am not against being competitive or skilled but when it starts to kill the fun that's were the problem exist and as far as i am concern i am here to have fun ,if i need drama i,ll go and watch a Bollywood movie and if i want to be skilled i,ll go learn something useful
i mean think about it, its not a war its just a "game" sorry if i am not being competitive enough for you

you will keep YOUR throne travis if you only play 2 games a day its a good policy and speaks volumes and in effect you are only 11 as top ten dropped at end of month so until your there at end of month you got no foundation to back up your claims ! also as your an old player its nothing to boast about beating me as i couldnt even strike the ball 4 months ago and btw we played 3 times you won 1 so no major coup but keep disrespecting players you will soon find it hard to get anyone to play you like others before ! you seem like a decent guy but your rapidly making people dislike you with your comments anyway gl in staying there ....

The reason you did not take amusement from the quote is that, it speaks of a narcissistic, conceited person who believes they are better than others but refuses to admit the possibility of their own errors or failure.
The fact that you replied to this post so quickly speaks volumes dear AND the fact you didn't understand it shouts from the roof tops.

i left about 5 years ago because of people calling me names and i could not come on to relax it is bad when that happens i have noticed there is not many on anymore sad i use to love it on here but no matter what you think you can not make family or friends out of strangersbut i really felt close at one time

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
