I have met lots of very nice people on Game Colony in the past couple of years. I consider you my Spades family and would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. I am sure most of you will be with your own family members during these coming Holidays, whether it’s at home or out of town. I just wanted to take a few moments to let you know that I will be out of town from early Wednesday, Nov 21st until late Sunday, Nov 25th. I do not know if I will be able to play any games while I am gone. I spoke with GC and they said I could let you all know through posting on the forum. I am sure that not everyone reads the forum but am asking those of you who have read this, that if you see that a player has challenged me, that you might try and let them know that I am gone.

Happy Thanksgiving to the above three muskateers. I shall do my best to refrain from adding any stress to your holiday getaways. Of course there will be a high price to pay for my cooperation (jk). The only downside to your absences is that I must attempt to entertain PTW4 by my lonesome. Travel safely and remember to get the longer end of the wishbone.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
