My opinion is there are plenty of tournys of each kind.....but....I don't play many because i'm not that good a player. Therefore I stick to the cheap tournys and only play occasionally when i can afford to lose a few tix lol. The biggest problem for amature players like me is that sometimes I have to think about what my best options are, and I can't look and immediately know what i have in my hand score wise, it's unsettling to try to think when an opponent is ragging on me to "hurry up" and play. All of the experienced players.....Please keep that in mind. tyvm

Sorry you feel that way Wolverine. We realize that not all players like DE and having to wait; while some players LOVE the DE's. Therefore, our TDs try to put a good mix of games in, i.e. low tix and high tix, SE and DE's for ALL the players. There is to be NO MORE THAN 5 DE's on any given day and this includes the 1 PM and 9 PM which are always DE designated spots. As a matter of fact, out of 26 cribbage tourneys schduled today, ONLY 3 of them are DE's.
In looking at the month from March 1st, we were able to offer our players 677 tourneys. Of those 677 tourneys, only 101 of those were DE's, leaving the balance of 576 Single Elimination tourneys. Now do you really think there are too many DE's?

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
