I MEAN REALLY????

You know I've been on this site for many years now. I've seen my share of players come and go. And each room has its own atmosphere. Some rooms are so competitive that virtually no one speaks to each other. Most card game rooms are quiet because of the necessity of focusing on the games themselves.
But there is one room - POOL - that tends toward socializing and conversation. Apparently we are judged more on what we say (or in some cases, don't say) than on what we do. Why is this room so touchy? Someone will always be better than me and I can always find someone who isn't to play with. But the idea that I will "run off" any one individual is offensive. Asking me to participate in that type of unsportsmanlike behavior is more offensive than any hyped-up trash talking overly confidant player I have ever run across. Take a chill pill and remember why we play ... to njoy and to win!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
