To my cribbage friends!!
I will be having a Mitral Valve replaced on Thursday. All prayers appreciated. Hope to be OK by Sep 7th when I turn 84 & back to cribbage. I have enjoyed all the years playing with all of you. Jonwil

There has been much concern and interest in your upcoming surgery by many players and tournament directors. You can be sure you are a bit of a hero around here. We will all be praying for your fast recovery and we will expect to see you back here with us quickly.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often.
