If you have installed it, the games won't work.
You'd need to uninstall Java 8 and then re-install the previous Java 7 from:

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_java7.jsp

For Windows, select 32-bit off-line installation

Java problem

It is best to start from a clean plate & make sure to remove ALL (possibly conflicting) Java installations first.

(1) Remove all Java viewed from Control Panel->'Programs and Features'

(2) After the above, install Java 7 from:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_java7.jsp

If you use 32-bit and 64-bit browsers interchangeably, you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java in order to have the Java plug-in for both browsers

(3) You will prompted to enable a plugin in your browser the 1st time you use it.

At GameColony we are working to solve the issue with Java 8 incompatibility as soon as possible.

In addition to installing Java 7, at this moment the following options for GameColony cribbage are available:

(1) Install a new 'Cribbage Live' app for iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets
See details HERE

(2) Install a non-Java cribbage for Windows from HERE

Most Java based internet multi-player games are at this time incompatible with the current release of Java 8. GameColony is working on browser-based games that would work in the presence of Java 8.On Windows 7 you can uninstall Java 8 via Control Panel / Programs and Features.
In some instances, you may have to additionally remove Java 8 directory via File Explorer

You can re-install Java 7 from:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_java7.jsp

Current alternatives to Java for Cribbage are:

'Cribbage Live' app for iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets

Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for your patience.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
