am posting a notice we received today. It is with a heavy heart we write here as this is a terrible shock. 1OkayLady was one of our very early members and among our first tournament directors. She will be greatly missed and our prayers for her loved ones will be on going. I knew many of you would want to know but it is HARD to write here.
It is with great sorrow that I have to tell you that Diane died on the 19th of Dec. due to complications of her diabetes as far as we know now. It was very unexpected as she had not been sick. She considered you a good friend. Kay, Diane's mother

I have known this fine lady from the many tournaments and games we played. Despite her health issues she always sent blessings to those she played and I thanked her for that. With a heavy heart I thank you Diane for the best wishes you sent to your opponents.
You will long be remembered. You may now rest in peace.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
