TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS IS BACK!

Years back, our beloved TD, OkayLady, started the Tournament of Champions, and I am pleased to say we are bringing it back!!!!!!
The TOC will be held the last Saturday of the month at 5 pm, giving our friends across the pond the opportunity to join us.
In order to play, you MUST have taken at least one FIRST PLACE spot in a tournament in the previous month (June for this TOC), list of eligible players will be posted here in the forum.
Your name MUST match the name on the list, so if you have changed your name since winning last month, you will need to make sure that you change it back in order to play in the TOC.
Below is the list of those players who are eligible to join the TOC on July 28th at 5 pm. Cost for the tournament will be 10 tix and it will be a double elimination tournament. Please let me know if you have any questions.
And as an added extra bonus .... are you ready? The Webs will be sending the winner of all TOCs an extra 20 Tix ..... Let's hear it for the Webs!!!!

Thanks for bringing this back. Played this a few times with OKAYLADY about 10 years ago or so. Was so much fun! How soon can we sign up?

Yes, Okaylady did a great job hosting these back "when." I think they will be a lot of fun and the extra 20 tix the Webs are providing will make for a great incentive.
You can start looking for the tournament to show up on the tourney page sometime on Friday (the day before the big event).

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
