Hey all you cribbage players, this was an AWESOME month with a record number of 96 awesome players eligible to play in the next February TOC touney. The next TOC is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at 7 pm. Below is the list of eligible players who can join the next TOC tourney ..... Don't forget ... the webs will send the February Champion an extra 20 tix. Hope to see all you CHAMPIONS at the tourney. And a reminder, if you changed your name since winning a tourney in February .... you will need to change it back to your winning nick! Good luck to all of you!

You didn't mention how many tickets the TOC will be. And, while I recognize it has always been 10 tickets, is it possible to have a TOC that doesn't run so pricey? At least once in a while for us newbies?

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
