Idea for Improvements....

Right now, it is hard to see who you must play, and when they are on, in terms of what rung a person is on the ladder. Can you guys not implement a new feature in the applet to have the ladder rung visible to all, and have it update when it updates on the main page. Having to click on everyones name to see if they are a part of the ladder, and what rung they are is really tiresome, and unnecessary. Next to the rating, or after the table #, just place a column for ladder ranking. I think that would improve, and make the ladder more popular.

Ladder ranking is visible in room

Ladder ranking & many stats are quite visible -- you just have to double-click the player name in the lower-left corner.

I know that...

You have to double click. The rating shows quite visibly in the main room, why not the ladder rung? That would make people get interested in ladder, and people would have easier time finding a game. I am sure only about 10-20% of ladder participants know what they are doing, this will help educate and get others interested.....just an easy suggestion, guess you guys have already shot it down.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
