When a players timer runs out, the waiting opponent should IMMEDIATELY (or as quickly as the server can get its act together)have the option to accept a win or wait, otherwise it seems TOTALLY pointless to even have a time regulation. There must be other players who agree with this and see the logic ... and if so PLEASE post your concern in the forum here or send a mail to Gamecolony. THX

I fully agree. Every player knows what the time limit is before a game starts. If a player cannot abide by that he or she should not play.

We happen to disagree.

There can be many legitimate time-per-move expiration issues that we believe require a less simplistic approach.

Examples of legitimate time-per-move expirations in short games vary from occasional connection fluctuation-related delays to older Windows-related delays - to the sudden 'ring-at-the-door'-induced delays

Here's the adopted rule regarding time-per-move expiration:

For the first 3 times after time-per-move expires, the player who let his/her time-per-move expire keeps receiving warnings. During these 3 times this player, however, gets some additional time. After the 3rd time-per-move expiration, no additional time is given. Occasionally, however, it may take up to additional 15 seconds on the part of the server to act regarding time-per-move expiration.
