I was suffering from connection problems, so i trawled the Microsoft/downloads for '98 and found out that the windows 98 system doesnt always resubmit passwords when required. This could cause problems with Gamecolony, the patch for security form resubmittal is Q831167. I might just have been lucky, good luck.
Windows 98, etc.

This post is for those who still use the old Windows 98 [or the identical Windows ME system -- just a slightly repackaged old Windows 98].
If you want your reboots to become a 'thing of the past', upgrade.
- Microsoft has fixed numerous stability-related issues, resources & memory leaks & Java issues in newer Windows 2000 and Windows XP versions
- short of upgrading to newer version of Windows, you can alleviate some problems by turning all of ALL sound via table options. ALthough you will experience some inconvenience regarding lack of audio move notification, you older system will become more stable

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
