RIDDLE FOR SUNDAY
Posted by PEGASUS (VIP) 20 Jun 2004 4:15pm

Seems a few of you like riddles so thought I would try one each day that I can. Here's the first.

THE RIDDLE:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!

No Guesses?????

Come on and at least guess! I know some have read it

It's hard

I don't think it's ODD and I don't see it as 'UNUSUAL'.. LOL Guesses? Well I guess
somebody had a lot of time to develop it and
then call it 'odd'. It has to do with the
letters. First I thought each sentence had
the same number of characters..nope. Then I
thought maybe the same number of vowels..nope.
Next I looked for common words.. nope. In fact
it might be the mose 'usual' looking paragraph I ever saw.. except of course the first word is
not indented. I don't have the answer.

The answer to the 'unusual paragraph' riddle is........there are NO e's and e's are the most used vowel in the English language.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
