How Unfinished Games are Treated

For all unfinished games, GameColony auto-estimates opponents' chances to win the game and determines whether these chances were sufficient.
The above process of auto-estimation of statistical chances to win is NOT based on the layman's favorite principle that 'anything is possible'.
Instead, GameColony uses standard statistical probability calculations to determine the players' chances to win the match as a whole starting from the position at game interruption.
Thus, if any player tries to take advantage of a disconnected player and take a win in the interrupted position where his/her estimated chances to win are inferior or insufficient, such games will be annulled.
If the disconnected player had inferior chances to win in the position at game interruption, then the game will NOT be annulled. If $Tickets were involved, this game will be settled according to players' chances to win.
The above game settlements are in full accordance with Terms & Conditions ( www.gamecolony.com/gtc99.html ) -- the document with which each $Ticket player indicates an agreement with prior to any $Ticket game

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
