Some players are not adhereing to the time limits that posted on the table. I think .30sec should be .30sec, not .45 or 1min. If you want to play 30sec lets play 30sec. Moderators should monitor this more closely.
regarding time-per-move expiration...

There are 2 issues here: (1) The times that you see displayed are your local time-related - this is for your reference only. The real time spent is determined by the server. At times when connection from your location to GameColony servers is slow, there is a visible difference in local time spent & server time spent.
(2) For the first 3 times after time-per-move expires, the player who let his/her time-per-move expire keeps receiving warnings. During these 3 times this player, however, gets some additional time. After the 3rd time-per-move expiration, no additional time is given. Occasionally, however, it may take up to additional 15 seconds on the part of the server to act regarding time-per-move expiration.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
