A man and a goat were walking together, it was cold outside and the man blew on his hands to keep them warm. The goat asked the man why he was blowing on his hands. The man replied 'To keep them warm'. After some time they came to a Inn. They ordered some soup, the man blew on the soup to cool it. The goat asked the man why he was blowing on his soup. The man replied 'to cool it down'. The goat jumped up and ran away.

Any idea why?

Can't quite get it ...

Good one Texas -- got me stumped -- has something to do with blowing hot and cold but I'm not sure what -- I'll be waiting for the answer

The answer is 'That we fear what we do not understand'.

LOL That Aesop was kind of hard to understand at times. Still don't understand this one.

I was going for the blowing hot and cold connection too Pearle

The goat ran away because he did not understand how it was possible for the man to make something warm by blowing on it and then make something cold by blowing on it, hence the goats fear. We fear what we don't understand.

Thanks for the replies,

Rocky

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
