Hi guys, I am happy to host tourney's for u but having list 2 on Saturday the support simply was not there. Obviously if people do not want tourney's we MUST host them for other games elsewhere for players who will support them. PLEASE if you want tourney's reply to this thread. Otherwise I simply cannot assist you enjoy the games, and at the end of the day that is the aim of ALL TDs to host your tourneys and and ensure maximum enjoyment. TY Take care

yes i would like more tourneys, as i have also applied to be a td but i think that it is unfair to say that there is no support for canasta tourneys when some of the tourneys for canasta that are getting posted are for 5 or more tixs. I think that canasta is new and people are not willing to join such steep tourney fees. It is not like other game rooms where they have been in place for 3 or 5 years and people will pay up 2 25 tix for a tourney i think that smaller tourney fees would help you fill your tourneys here for now, just my opinion

I agree with crimson king about the price of tourneys for a new game. Only 5 months old there aren't that many players and so having too high tix scared off many players who aren't sure about there skill level yet.
5 tix for a D/E is ok considering you get a minimum of two matchs and 3 or 4 tix for S/E makes sense and will draw newer players.
Good Luck.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
