NOW.. I WRITE THE REST OF MY MESSAGE.
AS MANY OF THE REGULAR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS KNOW, I HAVE BEEN WORKING DILIGENTLY IN SETTING UP TOURNAMENTS OF ALL DIFFERENT SETTINGS, TO ALL DIFFERENT TIX AMOUNTS, TO ALL DIFFERENT TIME ZONES. IT TAKES AT LOT OF OUR TIME TO DO THESE FOR OUR PLAYERS. AND SOMETIMES IT DOES INTERRUPT OUR DAILY SCHEDULES AND LIVES, BUT IN ORDER FOR THESE CANASTA TOURNAMENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL, WE NEED PLAYERS TO PLAY.I HAVE SET UP REGULAR TOURNEYS ON MONDAY NITES, AND IT HAS BEEN REQUESTED THAT ON SATURDAY MORNING HAVE ONE OR TWO, WHICH I AM ALL TO HAPPY TO SET UP AND HAVE DONE SO. BUT IN ORDER TO KEEP THESE SCHEDULES GOING, WE NEED PLAYERS TO PLAY. THESE ARE FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF ALL PLAYERS AND THE TD'S TOO. PLEASE BE ON TIME TO THE TOURNAMENTS. WE CANNOT WAIT FOR 20 MINUTES AFTER THE HOUR FOR U TO COME PLAY. WE MUST START NO LATER THAN 5 MINUTES AFTER THE HOUR OR CANCEL THE TOURNEY. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT PLAY OFTEN, PLEASE WHEN U ARE PLAYING IN THE MAIN ROOM, TO INVITE YOUR OPPONENT AND EXTEND TO THEM THE PLEASURE AND FUN THAT U HAVE EXPERIENCED PLAYING IN THESE. CHECK THE TOURNEY SCHEDULE PAGE DAILY FOR NEW ONES THAT MIGHT APPEAR SINCE THE LAST TIME U LOOKED. ALL NEWCOMERS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. YES, THE FIRST TOURNEY U MIGHT COME TO IS A LITTLE SCARY, BUT TELL SOMEONE YOU ARE NEW OR HIGHLIGHT THE TD'S NAME AND SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE. REMEMBER, WE ALL STARTED AT A FIRST TOURNEY ALSO, SO YES, WE KNOW HOW U FEEL. WE WILL IN NO WAY, EMBARRASS YOU. BUT PLEASE COME PLAY AT LEAST ONE TOURNAMENT TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE LIKE AND TO SEE IF YOU WILL ENJOY THEM. IF NOT, U DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK. AND IT IS VERY THRILLING TO WATCH YOURSELF CLIMB THE LADDER. ANY OF THE TD'S IN ANY ROOM CAN ASSIST YOU IF YOU NEED IT. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK US, WE ARE HERE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT. IF THERE IS A PARTICULAR GAME SETTING, TIX AMT, OR TIME ZONE U PREFER, WE DON'T READ MINDS, PLEASE TELL US. WE WILL DO WHATEVER WE CAN WITHIN OUR POWER TO ACCOMODATE YOUR REQUESTS. Just an idea but I would like to see alternating mondays with say a 5 tix D/E format every second monday. New players might like that also since they get two games guaranteed for the still low tix amount. I know in my first tourney being eliminated in the first game you play didn't seem to make it much of a tourney for me. For a D/E you might want the 3000 point total so it isn't too shrt but is shorter match. TY

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
