lol i guess i just noticed that you can do entry fees of half a ticket .5 tix, so what i am going to do is run a weekly tourney for all players to join, hoping to get new tourney comers with this low entry fee =) what i would like to know is what day and time works best for this weekly tourney, keep in mind i work till 6 pm and it is required that we advertise for a hour before the tourney so the soonest i can run a tourney during the week is 7 pm please respond everyone can help get the tourneys going and this is one way you can help thanks

'If you run it, I'll be there'..... my West coast time (3 hours earlier) just means I have to juggle my dinner & related chores. But you know, I don't think it's so much the price of entry that intimidates new players so much as the high rating of some of the competitors. (Just my 2 cents worth). Has Game Colony figured out a way to allow tourneys for different skill levels? -Judy-

i believe that what canastaforfun is 1hundred right, there should be tourneys for high rank and some for low rank and i bet you will have more players cause like me i always check names and ranks if there is high one i won,t play, the high rankers has there time with big pots, for us lower rankers we should just have tourneys, that cost-1-2-3-4-5-tixs if any one wants to play with the higher rankers would be up to the TD,but i think we should be separeted, have our own tourneys with low ranks and maybe you will get more players for the smaller, tourneys, like 3000-3500-4000-5000, thye would feel they would have more of a chance winning ty,chippie_cheeks

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
