DIALUP CONNECTION PROBLEMS??

Sometimes I feel I'm the only one in GameColony with a Dialup connection, but I know this can't be true so thought I'd pass along some new info...new to me anyhow.
I have NO access to any alternative so I am stuck, but recently I was asked by Dell if my phone jacks had been changed..apparently they go bad after time. Ours hadn't ever been changed that I know of, so we replaced them on both of our lines, and lo and behold my problem of constant disconnections was solved. It's been almost a week now and no kickoffs at all...I'm in heaven.
Now...just in case someone else has a problem with terms like I do.. if you have a splitter on your lines replace those too just in case. The splittler plugs into the jack so I wasn't taking any chances. Let me know if this helps anyone else please. I was on the phone several times to my isp tech support...the phone company and finally Dell who suggested the jack problem after running my computer threw all the tests to check for problems.
Of course I still do all the maintenance needed, such as emptying temps, defragging and all the other helps that keep our computers happy.
If this helps anyone else it makes me happy too.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
