Nice Players In BG???????

To all:
I know some players do not seem nice, they may not chat, they may seem rude. Please keep in mind that some players are from other countries other than yours, some may not read or speak english, let alone type it. Not to put people down but, i reside int he USA, and there sure are alot of people that can't read, write, speak English Either, and they were born and raised here in the USA.
I am not trying to justify the actions of the Alledged Rude or Un-polite players that one may encounter or experience. I am just saying there maybe a reason for it.
Here is what I experience here in BG:
When I play BackGammon, Players will Ban you because of your Low Rating, or they will Bail from the table and create a new one, and my favorite: 'The Silent/No Action Treatment', they will not do a thing, they will sit there while you keep clicking on start and no matter how much you say to them in chat, they will not respond nor will they start the game.
Plenty of Other Players, just find ones that you can enjoy playing and network them all together and HAVE A BLAST!

You are so right. Seems to me there are a few players who say nothing when u enter their table. It would be so much nicer if they simply said they are waiting for someone else. It is true that most of those players speak different languages but courtesy isn't there. They just wait until you leave saying nothing.

There are far too many RUDE players who will ban you when going to their table.
THIS IS NOT WHAT THE BAN BUTTON IS FOR.
If you get any abuse use the CONTACT US link on the home page and send a report to GC.

I've found many delightful players in backgammon and all the other games, but I've found the other kind in those as well.
I don't mind the ones that don't use gg ty etc, as has been said there could be many reasons for this, and I don't even mind the silent treatment since I never click on 'start' more than once and then leave. But I have to admit that BAN button irritates me no end. I find it rude and it would be hurtful if I let it, but I've learned to chuckle to myself and go look elsewhere.
Keep in mind most players ARE nice and friendly, and the others are just hurting themselves by not joining in on the comaradie we share in GameColony.

Yep there are some really nasty pieces of work! Imagine them in the tourney room LOL!!! 'no can't play you your rating is too low sorry' LOL! i can't believe anybody can take a game so seriously myself!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
