Tournament of Champions Posted by MrTimmy (VIP) 22 May 2005 10:51pm THE TOC TOURNAMENT WILL BE ON SUNDAY June 5 AT 100 pm D/ELM 5000 2-2-2 3f for 10TIX Its Tournament of Champion time again and its been awhile, so for this special tourney all the winners from December, January, February, March, April, and May will be eligible!! The Time of This tourney is set for June 5th @ 10pm, i know this will not work for everyone, but i feel that this time is the fairest since the majority of the tourneys were @ 10 and sundays seem to have the best turnouts. IF YOUR NAME IS ON THE LIST U ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE TOC TOURNAMENT.IF YOUR NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST AND YOU FEEL YOU WERE A WINNER IN A TOURNAMENT DURING THE TIME ANNOUNCED ABOVE PLEASE USE CONTACT US TO NOTIFIFY GC...WE WILL CHECK IT OUT AND GET BACK WITH YOU. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
