Hello, I would like to bring back tournaments!!!Also to get some people I know to join for tixs. They won't play unless tournaments are held. =) I would wholeheartedly appreciate it. I would like to be the host of tournaments. Thank You. Best Regards To Fellow Mates And GL !!! Smokeumchess !!!

I am a little nonplussed as surely you must be aware that there are already tournaments in GC and do not need 'bringing back'.
I notice that you have not played a single tournament in cribbage and as you told me that you are a very good chess player so much so that nobody will play you for TIX it is surprising that you have only played in one chess tournament.
You also said that cribbage is mainly a game of chance and not skillful like chess which makes me question your motive in wanting to interest yourself in such a 'lowly pursuit' as cribbage

I, more than likely believe smoke was referring to chess Wilkie. I tried to host them last August, very poor results. Most were cancelled. Smoke, you can ask G/C to set some up, but 1.6 yrs of TD'ing I only was able to get 2 to 'run'. G/C would LOVE to get more participents in a chess tourney often. Check with MAB.... Pegasus or Spider, am sure they will do all they can.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
