Can we name and shame people who have been bad sportsmen, like disconnecting when about certain to lose?

We're sorry that there are bad sports out there but it's a reality. However, it is most difficult to determine the 'bad' from those that have technical problems. Our suggestion would be to report these players via Contact Us link where their performance can be tracked. GC can and will remove those players found in violation of GC's Terms and Conditions. And, mark them on a list - don't play them again. Have a great day!

I have played many wonderful games here and have made many friends, yet I have met and played some nasty, big headed and overly untactlful players too...these people have called me a loser and say things like 'you play so bad, its like taking candy from a baby'. My best advice to those who have had similar contact with these people are to befriend them...there is nothing they hate more than having to be nice back after being so infantile!. The other choice is to make a list and don't play them again.

It seems obvious when most of the disconnects are usually when the opponent is losing, not when they are in the winning spot.

I am so sick & tired of players here who consistently disconnect because they are possibly in a position to win. There is plenty of times when the odd double or two comes in at the end & the games is snatched away by the opponent. I find it annoying when I am not given the same chance....the delay tactic inevitably makes the opponent resign due to frustration. I would love to list about 10 players but will name only one for now...(edited)

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
